CIJ Conversations on Today and Tomorrow's Issues "Graffiti: urban art between crime and the market"

Main Hall of the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto

21 November 2023

Graffiti is an unavoidable artistic manifestation of today's urban landscape. As well as being an artistic creation, it is a means of urban regeneration and community integration, unquestionably deserving of legal protection.

However...

its recognition and protection comes up against rights such as property and it is still viewed with suspicion as deviant behaviour.

Current and controversial, Graffiti is the subject of another "CIJ Conversation on Today and Tomorrow's Issues",  with participants from the "Street Art. Right to the City" project, which will take place on 21 November 2023 (4.30pm), at the Main Hall of the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto.

Participation in the event is free, subject to registration using the form available here.

A digital certificate of participation will be issued to all those who express the interest via the registration form and who attend the event in person.
