Police Officer at Municipal Police of Gaia, since 2011.
 
2015 to 2019 – Degree in Criminology from Faculty of Law of the University of Porto, with the Monograph: "Being a Police Officer: Motivation, Job Stress and Burnout".
 
Since 2019 - Researcher at the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Laboratory of Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto, investigating the topics stress and burnout among police forces; since 2023 regularly teaches on several editions of the Adults Education courses "Stress Management and Burnout Prevention" and "Psychological First Aid in Crisis and Catastrophe".
 
2019 to 2021 – Postgraduate education in Security Management and Master in Police Sciences, from the Higher Institute of Police Sciences and Homeland Security, Lisbon, with the Dissertation: "Stress (operational/organizational) and Burnout and as predictors of Suicidal Ideation in the Police Forces".
 
2022 – Course in Stress Management and Burnout Prevention (3 ECTS - 27 hours) at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto.
 
Since 2022 - PhD student in Criminology at Faculty of Law of the University of Porto with the thesis project "Suicide and Violence: Aggressiveness as a maladaptive response in a Police Context".
 
Regularly participates in congresses, symposia and conferences presenting papers on occupational health and psychological well-being of police forces. Recently enlarged the research to the topic of suicidal ideation among "first responders".
