José António Sá Reis obtained his law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra in 1992. He took an LLM in Banking and Finance Law at the University of London (Queen Mary and Westfield College) in 1997, and completed his PhD in International Trade Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto in 2014.
He has been a teacher at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto since 1995, where he is now an assistant professor. He currently teaches different graduate and postgraduate courses on the subjects of commercial and company law, competition law and international trade, and has published several articles and book chapters in these subjects.
He is a researcher at the Centre for Legal Research (CIJ) and a member of the Competition Observatory.
