Professor at the Portuguese Catholic University, Law School, between October 1989 and September 2012 where she lectured Introduction to Law, Fundamental Principles of Private Law, General Theory of Civil Law, Family Law, Property Law, Children Law.
Master’s Degree in Family Law, University of Coimbra, Law School,  
Ph.D. in Civil Law, Portuguese Catholic University, School of Law.
Nominated to the Portuguese Supreme Court in September of 2012.
Elected to the Constitutional Court in july 2016 where she worked as judge until the 25th of july 2019.
Her main publications are the books “Invalidity and land register. The protection of the a third party purchaser”, 2010; “Child Custody after Divorce”, 6th edition, 2014; “Themes of Children Law”, 2014.
She published articles in legal law reviews about domestic violence, sexual harassment and rape, child sexual abuse and the abolition of corporal punishment of children. She also published articles in civil law matters about invalidity of contracts and civil liability.
