Honourable Mentions for Student Research Supervised by CIJ Researchers!

CIJ is delighted to announce that the Masters in Criminology, Cátia Tomé and Sílvia Câmara, have just received two honourable mentions in the 1st edition of the Professor Carlos Pimenta Award, awarded by OBEGEF - Observatory of Economics and Fraud Management for the ‘superior quality’ of the work presented.
 
One of the honourable mentions was awarded to the paper published by Cátia Tomé, co-authored with Rita Faria, researcher at CIJ, in RED, titled ‘Is money laundering prevention effective? A perspective from banking institutions", which resulted from her Master's dissertation in Criminology defended at FDUP on the same topic.

The other, awarded to Sílvia Câmara, corresponded to her Master's dissertation in Criminology, defended at FDUP in 2023, titled ‘The influence of the mass media and moral foundations on the public perception of the seriousness of white-collar crime’, supervised by CIJ researchers, Pedro Almeida and Rita Faria.
