CIJ Conversations on Today and Tomorrow's Issues - WMD for Military Use: Advantages and Risks

The Faculty of Law of the University of Porto and its Interdisciplinary Research on Justice Centre organise "CIJ Conversations on Today and Tomorrow's Issues".
The second of several conversations - which will be announced soon - will be entitled "WMD for Military Use: Advantages and Risks" and will take place on 9 December 2022 at 4pm.
The military domain is at the technological cutting edge and 'autonomous decision systems' are already present on the battlefield. Promises of efficiency, including a war without human casualties, are countered by dehumanisation and loss of control. The time has come to reconfigure the law of armed conflict and humanitarian law? A CIJ Conversation on Today and Tomorrow's Issues.
Participation in the event is free of charge, subject to registration using the form available here.
A digital certificate of attendance will be issued to all those who express interest through the registration form (only for in person participations).
