The Faculty of Law of the University of Porto and its Interdisciplinary Research on Justice Centre organise "CIJ Conversations on Today and Tomorrow's Issues".
The second of several conversations - which will be announced soon - will be entitled "WMD for Military Use: Advantages and Risks" and will take place on 9 December 2022 at 4pm.
The military domain is at the technological cutting edge and 'autonomous decision systems' are already present on the battlefield. Promises of efficiency, including a war without human casualties, are countered by dehumanisation and loss of control. The time has come to reconfigure the law of armed conflict and humanitarian law?
