Luso Brazilian Congress "Corporate Governance and Corruption"

REITORIA DA UNIVERSIDADE DO PORTO

January 11 and 12, 2018

The Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (FDUP), the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Justice (CIJ) and the Faculty of Law of the Mackenzie Presbyterian University of São Paulo organized the Luso-Brazilian Congress on “Corporate Governance and Corruption”, which took place on January 11 and 12, 2018, at the Rectory of the University of Porto.

This is a matter of unquestionable importance, which is undermining the foundations of modern democratic societies, as is the result of recent media scandals, whether in Brazil or Portugal. The objective of the Congress, which brought together experts from both sides of the Atlantic, was aimed in particular at analyzing the phenomenon of corruption (both in the public and private sector), as well as the answers and solutions that the law can provide to combat this scourge. This is not only for lawyers, but also for all who are interested in this phenomenon.
