On 10 and 11 April 2025, FDUP will receive the II Luso-Hispanic Congress of Civil and Commercial Law, an event of great academic relevance that brings together distinguished Portuguese and Spanish speakers.
This event is a joint initiative of the Faculties of Law of the University of Porto/CIJ, the University of Coimbra, the University of Valladolid and the University of Salamanca. Its aim is to honour Professors Andrés Domínguez Luelmo and Fernando Carbajo Cascón, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the study of civil and commercial law.
The opening session will take place on 10 April at 9am, with Professor Paulo de Tarso Domingues, Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto, followed by the presentation of the eulogies to the honorees by Professor Maria Raquel Guimarães and Professor Miguel Pestana de Vasconcelos.
The programme includes six thematic panels, where fundamental issues of civil and commercial law will be debated, encouraging reflection and the sharing of knowledge among those present and reinforcing the importance of Portuguese-Spanish academic cooperation in the study of civil and commercial law
The congress closes at 1pm on 11 April.
