CIJ Talks on Issues of Today and the Future - talking about... "Democracy in 2024 - the Threat of Corruption"
FDUP (Anf. 128)
5 April 2024
In the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the "Revolução dos Cravos" that established democracy in Portugal, a number of threats loom over the democratic system. Among these is corruption, whose potential to undermine citizens' trust and serve as a weapon for the enemies of democracy is evident today and must be analysed and discussed. These are the aims of another CIJ Conversation on Current and Future issues. Our guests are Dr António Delicado (Council of Europe's Group of States against Corruption, GRECO/DGPJ), Professor André Lamas Leite (lecturer at FDUP and CIJ researcher) and Graça Martins Ferreira (Public Prosecutor). Professor José Cruz (lecturer at FDUP and CIJ researcher) will chair the session.
