Pursued her PhD in Psychology (Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto) after graduating in Law and obtaining a master degree in Criminology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto. Currently she works as a Professor, teaching in the undergraduate and master's degrees in Criminology at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences - Fernando Pessoa University.
Her research interests reflect her interdisciplinary background, focusing on the field of justice and crime, with a particular emphasis on the legal professions and feminist jurisprudence, and organized/transnational crime and gender.
