Conference "Climate: Heritage of Humankind"

The Mission Group for the Recognition of Climate as a Common Heritage of Humanity, of which CIJ is an original member, is organizing the Conference "Climate: Heritage of Humankind", which will be held in the Auditorium of the Vodafone Portugal Headquarters in Lisbon on 28 and 29 October 2022.
The Conference aims to share knowledge and debate the importance of a new legal regime for Climate and, in that context, to initiate a dialogue between the CPLP countries on the recognition of Climate as a Common Heritage of Humanity.
It is hoped that this reflection will position the Portuguese-speaking countries in the global debate on the need for a paradigm shift based on the development of economic models that are more favourable to ensuring climate stability on a planetary level, through the economic valuation of efforts and public policies for the protection, conservation and restoration of the earth system.
