II Edition of the Online Intensive Course - Concrete monitoring of constitutionality

The Law Faculty of the University of Porto and CIJ - Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Justice - organise the II Edition of the Online Intensive Course - Concrete Monitoring of Constitutionality, which will take place between 15 and 30 November (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 6.30pm - 8pm).

As a mixed system - of diffuse and concentrated judicial review on appeal, the successive concrete monitoring of constitutionality occupies a clear place in the concerns of legal practitioners, as well as in the volume of cases handled by the Constitutional Court. Observation of judicial practice shows that the success of requests for the non-application of rules on the grounds of unconstitutionality that are presented by the parties in courts a quo and in the Constitutional Court is very low.

These observations, together with the success of the I Edition, are the focus and motivation behind the organization of the II Edition of the course, the agenda can be found in "More Information".
