Influences of European Union Law on Portuguese and Italian Laws

The Faculty of Law of the University of Porto held a Round Table on the theme “Influences of European Union Law on the Portuguese and Italian Laws”, which addressed the following discussion topics:

- Does a right to be parents exist? Short notes on (commercial and altruistic)surrogacy

- The interaction between the supranational rules and the Italian law

- Europeanization of Administrative Organization Law
 
This initiative was part of the international scientific project to assess the impact of European intervention on the legislation of the southern European states and followed the Protocol between the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Justice (CIJ) of the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto and the Department of Law and Economics of the “Mediterranea” University of Reggio Calabria, signed on May 5, 2016, in Reggio Calabria, Italy.

The Round Table took place on July 18, at 10:30 a.m., in the Scientific Council Room and was attended by Dr. Angelo Viglianisi Ferraro, (Prof. Avv. Of the Department of Law and Economics of the “Mediterranea” University of Reggio Calabria), by Pietro Alessandro Fulco (Department of Law and Economics at the “Mediterranea” University of Reggio Calabria), and Dr. Juliana Ferraz Coutinho (Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto and CIJ Researcher). The moderation was in charge of Prof. Dr. Helena Mota (Faculty of Law of the University of Porto/CIJ).
