The technological revolution that started in the second half of the twentieth century has had a very significant effect on the configuration and regulation of juridical phenomena in general. However, since the first decade of the twenty-first century, this impact has gained special relevance within the financial sector, because of the development of new technology specifically oriented for the relationship between Banks and Financial Companies on one side, and their respective clients and the Regulator on the other. These new technological advances applied to the financial sector are now generally known as Fintech.
The purpose of this seminar is to discuss the impact of the increasing use of new technologies within the financial system, focusing on new business models related to Fintech, their configuration, implications and regulatory aspects.
