On 30 April, FDUP and CIJ are organising the conference ‘Conceptualizing Crimes on the Cryptocurrency Markets’.
The speaker will be Csava Győry, Assistant Professor at the Department of Law and Society at the Faculty of Law of ELTE University (Hungary) and researcher at Hun-Ren - Centre for Social Sciences, Institute of Legal Studies, in Budapest. He is Director of the Financial Crime Research Laboratory, a cooperative project between Hun-Ren and the Crime Centre of the University of Elche, Spain. He is principal investigator of the ‘Cryptocrime’ project, funded by the Hungarian National Council for Research, Development and Innovation. He has published widely on corporate crime, financial regulation, the politicisation of the justice system and the rule of law. He holds a PhD in law from the University of Freiburg, Germany, and a law degree from ELTE. He is a member of the Executive Board of the European Society of Criminology.
