Swap and Combination Society - Legal Issues in Collaborative Economics

Rectory of the University of Porto

October 6 and 7, 2017

The sharing economy and the collaborative consumption are comprehensive expressions of recent phenomena from which new and complex questions emerge for which the legal system offers no immediate answer.

It is therefore necessary to identify, characterize and integrate into the technical-legal instrument the contractual figures in question, paving the way for their jurisprudential treatment and for the discussion around the (in)convenience and (in)usefulness of their positive regulation.

The International Meeting, which took place on October 6 and 7, 2017, sought, in a unique and dynamic format, with conferences, parallel sessions and masterclasses, to address the various questions facing this new shared economy, with a view to providing a fruitful debate among researchers, faculty and other members of the academy.
